"Promoting overeating" is such a stupid clause. It's already a weird thing to enforce, but it's even worse from the social media app that's infamous for horrible filtering and flagging things that aren't against the rules.
yes. it’s the moralization of a disgust response based in fatphobia. most people’s only familiarity with feedism comes from like. nikocado or people posting ragebait videos on tiktok about how they were “forced to gain weight” by an abusive feeder. feedism is literally just a kink like any other. it bears zero resemblance to pro ana and ed content because it. is. a. kink! anyone who has been in feedist spaces would know that so many of us are in ed recovery ourselves and attribute a lot of our healing to the feedism community
all this new content guideline does is give fatphobes a convenient button to press to target and remove any fat person they encounter who has the audacity to enjoy being fat and be sexual at the same time. including many people who are not feedists!!!
fat liberation in feedism + feedism in fat liberation always and forever

So is Worm good from what you have read
Tumblr media
"Yes" doesn't begin to cover it but yes. Worm is a brain-rewiring mobius strip disguised as a bible disguised as a superhero web serial that either cured your cancer or shot your dog or both depending on who you ask, and it has many extremely dedicated, brilliant scholar priest surgeons publicly dissecting it on this platform on the regular to the point I don't think I have much to add to the conversations surrounding it, even if I do have some The Thoughts about it. I had never even really seriously thought about superhero prose before and Worm isn't a thing I go back and reread frequently but it did a complete and total 180 on the way I think about superheroes and even fiction, and I've never stopped thinking about it since I've read it.
It is a monumentally impressive story with completely absolutely incredible characters that I cannot stop thinking about. No matter where it was going, even past stretches that were less interesting or more of a slog to read or worse, I could not put the story of Taylor Hebert down for one minute. Tattletale fascinated me every step of the way, I had to keep up with her. Rachel Lindt was a character I feel like I'd been waiting my whole life for. What was I gonna do, not see them through? I feel like Worm easily loses you if you don't particularly connect with the characters enough to justify to yourself the amount of time you'll spend with them, but man, I could not unglue my eyeballs from these people enough (I love all the core Undersiders, to be clear, I'd say it's Rachel > Taylor > Tattletale > Aisha and Alec and Brian, there are very small gaps between these, I just don't go berserk for the last three like I do for the first three, I'm taking Bitch and Skitter to the grave I'm dead serious)
Everybody who read it has one or several gripes with it with some major dealbreakers in the mix. Tumblr's kinda the only place online where you can really talk about them at length without the spectre of John Wildbow hanging over the discussion, which enables discussion to the point where yes, maybe it does look like to outsiders that nobody can agree on whether Worm is good or what is it even about or whether it even has worms in it (it has at least one, although it's a very big one).
And it is good, it has the Undersiders in it and the Undersiders are one of the greatest groups of characters ever put together, but everyone has at least one major point of contention with Worm whether it's the timeskip or the length or the racism or the gross fatphobia or aspects surrounding the Dallon-Pelham Torment Nexus and etc. I'd say it has maybe the most racist vision of Latin America I've ever seen in a superhero text a hair short of pro-colonial tracts in Golden Age comics and that is a tall fucking order by any metric. It is Complicated, and that winds up making it so fascinating to talk about.
Worm has self-sustaining ecological systems of posts up here, far away from the Spacebattles and Reddit battlegrounds where it has different ones and that's not getting into Weaverdice or the sequel or Wildbow's larger body of work, which I haven't gotten to and probably will not any time soon because Worm was enough of a commitment as is. Do I recommend Worm to everyone? It is certainly not to everyone's tastes and I personally find it difficult to describe it simply enough to make it sound appealing or not like a pyramid scheme. But yes I do think it's good, in fact great, in fact, amazing, except when it isn't, and except it Plainly Sucks, but then something like Taylor vs Mannequin or Kevin Norton's interlude or "You needed worthy opponents" happens and it fucks harder than anything has ever fucked before and you don't walk away from it the same, so yes I guess "good" will have to do now.
It's certainly a lot but I definitely found it worth my time to read and then read the texts written about it here. You'll have to take my endorsement of Worm as proof of it's quality and proof of how deranged it makes it's readerbase, they're not mutually exclusive. If you can make it, Worm and the wormosphere has layers and layers to wade through and talk about and enjoy, despite how we're all so very small in the end *gunshot*.

I was wondering if mayhaps, possibly, I could place a Steve x Reader Request.
Maybe something were Reader is overweight/chubby(or anything else, really) and used to get bullied by Steve (King Steve era) and they meet again around Season 3/4-ish and he just wants to apologise but she's a little traumatized? Doesn't have to be a happy or romantic ending either, depending on what you prefer.
Feel free to add/change anything, and even if you don't end up writing it (which is totally fine) thank you for taking the time to read this ♥️♥️
(This is my first time requesting anything so I apologise if this comes off a little bit weirdly - English isn't my first language either🙏)
You’re so sweet 🥺❤️ you have nothing to apologize for! I love requests with a bit of detail as they give me something to go off of. I hope you enjoy the fic!
Warnings: Fatphobia, fatphobic nicknames and comments, bullying, lots of insecurity, she/her pro-nouns used

Hawkins High, 1983
Your stomach twisted as you stepped into the crowded hallway, gripping your books a little tighter against your chest. You were used to the looks, the whispered comments that followed you like a shadow. Most of the time, you could ignore them. But when it was Steve Harrington—the so-called “King of Hawkins High”—they were impossible to drown out.
He was leaning against his locker with Tommy H. and Carol, laughing at something she’d just whispered in his ear. You could feel their eyes on you before you even passed them, your heartbeat picking up in warning. Maybe if you just walked faster—
“Hey, watch it, tubby,” Steve’s voice cut through the hallway noise as your shoulder accidentally brushed his on the way past.
Your cheeks burned. A couple of people turned to watch, and you felt small. You kept your head down, pretending you hadn’t heard him.
“Aww, c’mon, don’t be like that.” His voice was dripping with mock sweetness, but it was loud enough to make sure everyone heard. “I mean, I felt that. You trying to knock me over? Jesus, what do you eat, cinder blocks?”
Tommy cackled, Carol snorted, and the humiliation crawled up your throat like bile.
You wanted to say something—wanted to fire back, to tell him to go to hell—but the words stuck, tangled up with every insult you’d ever swallowed down before. Instead, you just clutched your books tighter and kept walking, head low, the sound of their laughter ringing in your ears long after you turned the corner.
———————————————————————————
High school ended, but the scars it left didn’t fade so easily. You’d spent years trying to convince yourself that Steve Harrington’s words—and all the other cruel whispers that followed you through the halls—didn’t matter. That they didn’t shape you. That you weren’t defined by how other people saw you.
But deep down, you knew better.
The echoes of laughter, the way people’s eyes lingered a second too long on your body, the way you learned to shrink yourself even when you took up space—it all stayed. You carried it with you after graduation, past the lockers and classrooms, out into the real world where you were supposed to feel freer.
You never did.
You worked, kept your head down, tried to build a life outside of Hawkins High’s social hierarchy. A life where you weren’t the punchline of some arrogant rich boy’s joke. But self-consciousness was a stubborn thing, wrapping around you like a second skin, making it hard to forget.
———————————————————————————
The mall was overwhelming.
You hadn’t stepped foot in it since it opened, even though half of Hawkins acted like Starcourt was the best thing to happen to the town. The crowds, the bright lights, the sheer newness of it all—it made you uneasy. But your friend had practically dragged you here, insisting that you couldn’t avoid it forever.
“You can’t just keep pretending this place doesn’t exist,” she had said, looping her arm through yours. “Come on, just for a couple of hours?”
And somehow, you had caved.
Now, after wandering in and out of stores, you found yourself standing outside Scoops Ahoy, your friend peering through the glass with an eager grin.
“We have to go in,” she declared. “I’ve been hearing so much about this place.”
Your stomach twisted. You could already see the familiar brown hair beneath the ridiculous blue-and-white hat, the easygoing way he leaned against the counter. You hadn’t seen Steve Harrington in years, not since high school, and you weren’t exactly eager to change that.
“Let’s go somewhere else,” you said, shifting on your feet.
Your friend gave you a look. “Are you serious? It’s just ice cream. And I’m starving.” She grabbed your wrist and started pulling you toward the entrance before you could protest. “Come on, it’ll take like five minutes.”
Five minutes. You could handle five minutes.
The moment you stepped inside the sugary scent of waffle cones filled your nose as kids and families bustled around the counter. Your friend stepped ahead eagerly, scanning the menu, while you lingered a little further back, hoping—praying—that Steve wouldn’t notice you.
But then—
“Welcome to Scoops Ahoy, what can I get—”
His voice cut off.
You knew the second he recognized you. His easy, customer-service smile faltered, his brows pulling together slightly, like he was trying to make sure his eyes weren’t playing tricks on him.
You forced yourself to meet his gaze, and for a moment, neither of you spoke.
You weren’t in high school anymore. You weren’t the girl gripping her books in the hallway, avoiding his words like they were bullets. But he wasn’t King Steve anymore, either. He was standing in front of you in a dorky uniform, and for the first time, you saw something in his expression you’d never seen before—
Regret.
“Hey,” he said, hesitant, like he wasn’t sure you’d even acknowledge him.
You swallowed hard, your hands curling into fists at your sides.
You didn’t say hey back.
Instead, you looked away and muttered, “I’ll wait outside,” before turning on your heel and walking out the door, leaving Steve standing behind the counter, his mouth slightly open like he’d wanted to say more.
But he didn’t. Or if he did, you couldn’t hear.
The moment you stepped outside, the air felt different—thicker, harder to breathe, like you’d been sucked into a memory you weren’t ready to relive.
Your friend was still inside, probably placing her order like nothing had happened, like you hadn’t just come face to face with the one person whose words had clung to you for years.
Hey.
That was all he had said. Just a simple, hesitant hey. But it didn’t matter.
Because the moment your eyes met his, it all came rushing back—the sting of laughter echoing down the halls, the way you had clenched your jaw and kept walking, the way his words had burrowed deep into your skin until they felt like truths instead of insults.
“You trying to knock me over? Jesus, what do you eat, cinder blocks?”
Your stomach twisted, and you wrapped your arms around yourself, as if you could physically hold back the wave of self-consciousness threatening to drown you.
It was stupid. You weren’t in high school anymore. You weren’t some insecure teenager trying to disappear behind oversized sweaters and carefully calculated movements to take up less space. You had spent years trying to move past it, trying to tell yourself that you were more than the way people saw you.
But the second you saw him, the second his voice reached your ears, it was like none of that progress had ever happened.
You had felt small again.
No, not small—exposed. Like he could still see every single insecurity he had once poked and prodded at for his own amusement.
You took a shaky breath and dug your nails into your palm, grounding yourself.
He wasn’t that guy anymore. You had heard about Steve Harrington’s supposed transformation, how he had traded in his arrogance for something closer to decency. You had even seen it, in glimpses around town—how he always had that mop of curly-haired kids trailing behind him, how he looked exhausted but softer, different in a way you hadn’t been able to place before.
But none of that changed what he had done.
None of that erased the years of insecurity he had helped carve into you.
And now he wanted to say hey, like you were old friends, like he didn’t remember the way he had made you feel like nothing?
No.
You weren’t ready for this. You weren’t ready for him.
The door swung open behind you, and your friend stepped out, holding two cups of ice cream.
“What the hell was that about?” she asked, frowning as she handed you one of the cups, wrapped in a napkin.
You blinked, forcing yourself to play dumb. “What do you mean?”
She gave you a look. “Oh, I don’t know. Maybe the part where Steve Harrington looked at you like he’d just seen a ghost and you walked out like the building was on fire?”
You swallowed. “It’s nothing. I just… I didn’t feel like being in there.”
Your friend’s expression softened. “Hey, are you okay?”
Were you?
You wanted to say yes, to brush it off like you always did. But the truth sat heavy in your chest, pressing down like a weight you had carried for far too long.
So instead of answering, you just let out a breath and said, “Can we just go?”
Your friend didn’t push. She nodded, looping her arm through yours again as you walked away from the bright, buzzing mall, leaving Scoops Ahoy—and Steve Harrington—behind.
——————————————————————————
After the run-in at Scoops Ahoy, you had done your best to push it down, to bury the emotions that had been clawing their way up since you saw him. It was just an awkward moment, nothing more. You would move on, just like you had before.
But Hawkins was small, and fate—or something crueler—wasn’t done with you yet.
You had stopped by the pharmacy, picking up a few things, when you turned the corner and nearly walked straight into him
Steve.
Your body tensed before your brain could even process it. He wasn’t in his stupid sailor uniform this time, just a plain t-shirt and jeans, hair still styled but a little messier than you remembered from high school.
His eyes widened the second he saw you, like he couldn’t believe his luck. Or maybe his misfortune.
You immediately looked for an escape route, but before you could step around him, he took a hesitant step forward.
“Hey, wait,” he said quickly. “Can I—can we talk for a second?”
Your heart pounded. You didn’t want to talk to him.
You didn’t want to stand here, face to face with him, and pretend like the past hadn’t happened. Like he hadn’t spent years making you the butt of his jokes, chipping away at your confidence until you barely had any left.
"Just—just one second, please," His voice wasn’t the cocky, mocking tone you remembered. It was softer, almost unsure. "I know you don’t wanna talk to me, and I don’t blame you, but… I need to say this."
You clenched your jaw, looking past him instead of at him.
"You don’t need to do anything, Harrington," you muttered. "I’m fine. It was a long time ago."
"Yeah, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t matter," he said, almost too quickly, like he’d been holding onto the words for days. "Look, I—I was an asshole. A huge asshole. And I know that probably doesn’t even cover it, but…" He exhaled sharply, rubbing a hand over his face. "I’m sorry."
You didn’t say anything.
Because what could you say?
Sorry wasn’t some magic word that erased the past. It didn’t make the years of insecurity disappear. It didn’t stop the way your stomach twisted every time you remembered how he used to laugh at you, how he had made you feel like you weren’t enough.
And yet…
Something about the way he said it, the way his voice wavered slightly, made your chest ache in a way you weren’t ready to confront.
"I don’t expect you to forgive me," he continued when you didn’t respond. "And I sure as hell don’t deserve it. But I just… I needed you to know that I regret it. All of it. The way I treated you, the way I acted back then—I was a complete dick. No excuses."
For the first time, you let yourself really look at him.
He wasn’t King Steve anymore. There was no smug grin, no self-assured arrogance. Just a guy standing in front of you, fidgeting slightly, looking like he was genuinely sorry.
But that didn’t make the pain go away.
"You don’t get to apologize and make it go away, Steve," you said quietly, finally finding your voice. "You don’t get to say ‘I regret it’ and expect me to just—just forget what it was like."
His expression tightened, like your words physically hit him.
"I know," he said, nodding. "I know. And I don’t expect that. I just… I needed to say it. Because you didn’t deserve any of that shit, and I hate that I was part of the reason you—" He cut himself off, hesitating for only a moment before continuing, his voice softer. "I am part of the reason you're hurting, and I'm sorry."
You stared at him, heart still pounding.
You had spent so long resenting him. So long remembering only the bad. And yet, here he was, standing in front of you, not trying to justify it, not trying to downplay it—just… owning it.
You didn’t know what to do with that.
So you just swallowed down the lump in your throat and said, "Yeah. Well. Maybe now you'll know how it felt."
Then you stepped around him and walked away, leaving Steve Harrington standing alone in the pharmacy aisle, his apology lingering in your mind.

I feel like being pro-ship forbids me from making any criticism of any media. How can I justify opposing racial stereotypes, fatphobia, transphobic punchlines etc and in the same breath say "dark romance", or even pedophilia in a story is okay because it's just fiction? Those are the exact words of a GamerGate bro from 2016.

How can I justify...
Easily.

The fat acceptance movement has taken a horribly wrong turn and needs to be course-corrected
The current state of the fat acceptance community is appalling. We should be fighting for the end of weight stigma, yet this is not what I see being promoted in this community. What I do see is a lot of harmful rhetoric that only serves to build up fat acceptance on an illegitimate foundation while devaluing more important social movements.
I have seen too many individuals shoehorning anti-racism, anti-sexism and LGBTQ+ sentiments into their pro-fat rhetoric. This is blatantly offensive and harmful to more marginalized people who actually are in danger of targeted violence and discriminatory political policies. You are not like these people who fight hard for their freedom and deserve acceptance because they cannot (and should not need to) change their race, gender and sexuality. Unlike them, you can change your body weight. This alone makes fat people fundamentally different from these marginalized groups that fat acceptance members try to prop up their movement on.
Some individuals in the fat acceptance community go even further, employing cult-like tactics to stop people from leaving this corrupt movement. I have seen advocates shun those who leave, frame themselves as the victim by crying fatphobia when people leave, make vague threats that their bodies will betray them, tell people not to trust their doctor, and tell people not to treat their type 2 diabetes by losing weight. This is disturbing. How has this harmful behavior gone unchecked for so long? This needs to stop now.

really incredible seeing people not only jump back into rampant unapologetic fatphobia but seeing people embrace making being thin and even being disordered to mainain it a veritable element of their personality. like sometimes even people who arent even "pro ana" or trying to be crypto about it, just doing it out in public and acting like it's normal. like the coquette waif girls, the self-identified "femboys" who insist on strict restriction and suggest their peers do it too, gays trying to conform to community beauty standards that we should be combatting. and then they externalize it by belittling people who dont fit the ideal they contort themselves over. it's so fucking NASTY. it STINKS.

thinking about how the blackfyre rebellions foreshadow upcoming conflict in the asoiaf main series. and the obvious conclusion to draw there would be this reflects a possible conflict between aegon "young griff" vs. jon snow vs. daenerys targaryen. a dornish trueborn son versus a non-dornish bastard vs a true valryian. there's a dightfully ironic twist given that aegon might in fact BE a secret blackfyre himself. but the imagined conflict largely focuses on that particular ethnicity/regional identity axis.
BUT i also think a core component of the pro-daemon argument involved the fact that daemon was an excellent warrior - whose physique represented the pinnacle of westerois warrior masculinity and who was fully able-bodied, willing to lead battles, etc. in contrast to daeron, who is described as narrow-shouldered and soft bellied in the dunk & egg novellas, whose inclinations involve less battle and more administration and bureaucracy. while able-bodied and skinny and a man, misogyny ableism and fatphobia to some degree underpin this particular critique of daeron's own masculinity, wherein his own masculinity (and thus his claim) is diminished because he fails to play the role of a daring warrior king.
i think we'll likely see this dimension at play through arguments over who should inherit winterfell and the stark legacy - jon snow or bran stark or even sansa stark. necessary disclaimer that while ambitious, given where jon snow currently stands, I doubt he would actively instigate conflict with his siblings for winterfell. But there will likely be voices amongst the Northern lords advocating for jon's claim to be heard above others because he is an able-bodied young man who excels as a warrior and whose masculinity largely sits in line with westerosi ideals (that is, if we ignore jon's actual values for one second, for the biggest sticking point for many after 'bastardry' will likely be that jon is a gay-loving wildling-loving proto-feminist, assuming he isn't known as a targaryen). This stands in sharp contrast to bran who is, as we see in agot/acok, a fairly capable administrator and ruler even at a very young age, and yet his own disability will likely diminish him as a candidate in the event of a succession crisis despite the fact that much of ruling is not about battle. Something jon, bran, and sansa will all need to grapple with is the fact that the Northern lords may seek to pit them against each other and they will have to hear of their siblings being criticised because they're a bastard, disabled, a woman, etc. regardless of who rules, they'll need to navigate love for each other, the duty to winterfell, and their own wants and ambitions and desires in the future. and the conflict between daeron and daemon does overshadow that as well as the dance of dragons.

"Last week, the presidents of Harvard, MIT, and the University of Pennsylvania were called to testify before Congress about the alarming rise of anti-Semitism on their campuses, and their tepid responses to it, in the wake of October 7.
By now, you have probably heard about the trio’s horrendous overall performance, punctuated by their smug inability to respond to the simple question of whether calling for the genocide of Jews violates their schools’ codes of conduct. Since that time, the president of UPenn has stepped down, and support for the other two is wavering.
In case you are wondering, their answer should have been an unequivocal “yes, it violates our polices.” The right to free speech is fundamental, but it does have limits: The First Amendment is not a pass to threaten, harass, intimidate or otherwise violate the rights of others.
For the record, even those pundits who (incorrectly) defended the university presidents’ testimony as being legally correct, if morally tone deaf, had to admit that it did represent a glaring double standard. Each of these universities has in recent years protected other minority groups from even “micro-aggressions” by effectively and ruthlessly shutting down speech that their leaders find offensive.
Struggling to answer whether calls for genocide against Jews constitutes bullying, after you have already officially labeled “fatphobia” as “violence” and “using the wrong pronoun” as a form of “abuse,” is pathetic, and to see these schools pretending that they are genuinely concerned about free speech all of a sudden is nothing short of laughable. In the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression’s 2024 College Free Speech Rankings, for example, out of 248 US campuses, Penn and Harvard were ranked 247th and 248th, respectively. If you are only concerned about shutting down speech when that speech targets Jews, well, there is a word for that.
How Free Is Free Speech?
The First Amendment does not protect trespassing, vandalism, harassment, assault, or the destruction of property. Nor does it protect speech that is not meant to inform or persuade, but to disrupt lawful endeavors —activities like going to the kosher dining hall or studying in a library. The First Amendment does not protect someone who is making true threats, nor does it protect intimidation — “a type of true threat, where a speaker directs a threat to a person or group of persons with the intent of placing the victim in fear of bodily harm or death.”
Just a few months ago, in Counterman v. Colorado (2023), the United States Supreme Court clarified that this does not necessarily mean that the person speaking actually intended to threaten the victim. Rather, the Court imposed a recklessness standard — i.e., the First Amendment does not protect a person who consciously disregards a substantial risk that his communications would be viewed as threatening violence. To be clear, calling for the genocide of Jews, as the pro-Hamas student groups on campus have consistently been doing, does create a hostile environment for Jewish people on campus, violates Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and is not protected by the First Amendment.
It was obvious that all three university presidents were reading off scripts written by their respective attorneys (several of whom were sitting behind them and nodding throughout the hearing). The question then becomes: What now? What is the critical error that their lawyers (and the general counsels at other universities where Jewish students are being targeted) have made in failing to stand up for Jewish people, and how should they immediately correct it?
The answer is simple, and it is exactly what students, parents, donors, and the government alike should all be demanding from these institutions: They should continue to respect the First Amendment, but they should apply the appropriate standard for speech on a campus.
From a legal perspective, it is easy to see where the university legal counsels’ confusion specifically arose. Those horrible answers were written under the assumption that the only limits a university can put on student speech are the limits contemplated in the foundational Supreme Court First Amendment case of Brandenburg v. Ohio (1969).
In that case, regarding speech at a KKK rally, the Court held that a state could only punish speech that “is directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action.” Brandenburg is famously a very high standard, and that is precisely where the universities are hiding: Despite the hundreds of anecdotal incidents from the last two months, and notwithstanding all of the well-known studies confirming that inflammatory discriminatory anti-Semitic rhetoric leads directly to anti-Semitic violence, officials are telling students and parents and now Congress that their hands are tied because, in most cases, there has not been direct enough incitement.
Campus Standards Are Different
Now, the truth is that even under the Brandenburg standard, schools can still impose reasonable time, place, and manner restrictions. As the Court in Grayned v. City of Rockford (1972) explained: “The crucial question is whether the manner of expression is basically incompatible with the normal activity of a particular place at a particular time.”
So even under that paradigm, any activities that disrupt the educational enterprise and functioning of a school may be restricted. Common sense dictates that rallies celebrating calls for anti-Semitic genocide disrupt the educational enterprise and functioning of a school because they leave some students genuinely fearful for their lives.
But that argument is also unnecessary, because Brandenburg is absolutely the wrong standard for schools to be using, and university presidents and lawyers need to correct that mistake as soon as possible.
In Tinker v. Des Moines (1969), the Supreme Court explained that the Constitution does allow for schools to shut down speech that will “materially and substantially interfere” with the “requirements of appropriate discipline” in the operation of the school” or that “invad[es] the rights of others.” That is the standard that these schools must now vigilantly enforce.
Of course, private colleges and universities, like Harvard, Penn, and MIT, can restrict certain speech, conduct, and demonstrations, in most cases, without triggering any constitutional issues. But even a public university is not a public street, and the rules for what speech must be allowed on each are very different.
The Supreme Court in Healy v. James (1972) cited Tinker to hold that university officials do not have to tolerate student activities that breach reasonable campus rules; interrupt the educational process; or interfere with other students’ rights to receive an education. (This is especially true when the student speech is happening in school-sponsored forums, or is reasonably perceived as somehow bearing the school’s imprimatur.)
The Court has also repeatedly held (in Bethel v. Fraser [1986] and Hazelwood v. Kuhlmeier [1988]) that schools have even greater latitude to limit student expression if they can establish a “legitimate pedagogical concern.” Ensuring that all students — including Jewish students — have a safe and harassment-free environment in which to learn should be an overwhelmingly legitimate pedagogical concern.
Under the Tinker line of cases, schools do not even have to wait for a breach to actually occur; administrators can act if they can “reasonably forecast” that the expression in question would disrupt school discipline or operation, or violate the rights of other students. In Melton v. Young, for example, the Court ruled that schools could prohibit the wearing of a Confederate flag jacket because it was reasonable to assume that it would be disruptive in an environment of heightened racial tension.
Waving a Hamas flag and cheering on slaughter, as bodies are still being identified and hostages are still being held, announcing solidarity with the “resistance” and that “armed struggle” — i.e., murder —“is “legitimate,” and yes, calling for the genocide of Jews, are all behaviors that are no less likely to cause a disruption than a jacket.
Tinkering with Free Speech
Under Tinker, it is more than reasonable to forecast that there will be substantial disruptions that would violate the right of Jewish students to a non-hostile educational environment if groups are allowed to host events that glorify and celebrate the murder of Jews.
Schools can and must act now to prevent that from continuing to happen, using both common sense and the relevant case law to draw the appropriate line. The limits on the First Amendment are there to help the government with its primary responsibility —to protect all of its citizens from harm —and authorities must be constantly vigilant to enforce the law correctly.
Regardless, the answer to “what now?” then, is this: Everyone calling for change should articulate what that change is, and institutions fixing their policies should clearly explain how they will “tinker” with their free speech formulas so that the next time their leaders are asked if calling for a Jewish genocide is problematic, the answer can just be “yes.”

People like you make me want to support Scott Cawthon even more just out of spite
Acapella, but for those who can’t/don’t sing acapella
Description: 2025 6 April because I’m now a household name and also, lmao. TW for some of the links (but I’d recommend checking some out, anyway). Includes references to me actually being xenogender (but not saying it at the time), and alternating between who "you", is. Feck Trump supports and shit like that - feck zionists, feck pro-Israel folks, feck whoever takes away trans rights and denies trans masc's health, feck pro-lifers, feck people who force surgeries onto intersex babies to "correct" them and who deny their existence, feck people who thought that the prices of eggs were a bigger priority than the rights of Native Americans and POC and all, feck people taking away children's rights and who are mean to them, feck fatphobia and commentary on weight that no one asked for, feck ableism/saneism/mentalism being so normalized and them not being seen as human, and just in general, feck you, Scott, I do NOT wanna associate MY precious religion, with YOU.
🎶Used to be your fankid,
Used to be FNAF-xip,
Thought you were the perfect, homie.
You voted their rights away,
Rich Scottie’s gotta pay,
Now you gotta make your own simps.
AREN’T YOU JUST TROLLING,
SAYING THAT YOU SHAPED ME,
LIKE I WAS YOUR ANIMATRONIC?!
You and I are through though,
Watch me dine with Gerald,
Imma be that FNAF-salter … (YEAH) …
(Imma be that FNAF-salter … yeah - YEAH) …
Starting up the game,
Made by that “Christian” man -
He had that kindness and fun - office work-shirt ‘n’ tie -
The Bible also said, “it’s hard for rich folks to get in … you better be good beyond money for Heaven!”
You better DAMN believe me,
Yeah, I watched ALL the theories -
My favorite here was Phone Guy - no wonder Scottie killed him!
The Christian God, he thinks,
Forced pregnancy is shit … prioritize real health and life, trans AND intersex -
OOH,
And what a lucky girl you say I’ll BE … but no, it didn’t do SHIT for ME …
I want a man with integrity …
And if he’s got none,
I’m gone more than Cassidy!
Used to be your fankid,
Used to be FNAF-xip,
Thought you were the perfect, homie.
You voted their rights away,
Rich Scottie’s gotta pay,
Now you gotta make your own simps.
AREN’T YOU JUST TROLLING,

LIKE I WAS YOUR ANIMATRONIC?!
You and I are through though,
Watch me dine with Gerald,
Imma be that FNAF-salter … (YEAH) …
(Imma be that FNAF-salter … yeah - YEAH) …
And on Dawko’s stream,
Which was for Palestine,
Scott did not show up ‘a sudden -
Lil’ king of privilege -
My homie there would say,
“That game stresses you out, eh?
I can see why, since he talks shit about the furries that give money.”
I see his bad intentions,
He just don’t wanna talk -
He hired a zionist COMPANY (OOPS) -
Those crying kids not enough?
And I really say:
“I’m arolovic anticarnal apothiaroace.
I don’t know to, nor care to,
Suck his crisp burnt dick away.”
OOH …
And no I guess it wasn’t meant to BE …
Because it didn’t do SHIT for ME …
I want a man with integrity …
And if he’s got none,
I’m gone more than Cassidy!
Used to be your fankid,
Used to be FNAF-xip,

Nevermind, bring the beat, boys!

NEW USERNAME local-queer-disappointment -> drop-dead-dropout
unpinning my other post because i want to talk a little about me and this space that i've created! hi i'm alex and i dropped out of high school twice lol
i think a dni is stupid because people never listen anyways, which is why i haven't had one, but i still see the value in at least telling people who this little corner is for.
also YELL AT ME ON DISCORD I'M woahits_alex.mp3 IF U ASK ME ABOUT FIC RECS FOR MY FANDOMS I'LL CRY WITH HAPPINESS
anyways opinion stuff under the cut. you don't have to read it, and you don't even have to listen if you do, but i might argue with you (<- serial arguer) so if you want to avoid the Discourse here ya go.
you are welcome here:
- ALL queers. trans men, trans women, nonbinary, intersex, poc queers, xenogender, "contradictory" labels like mspec gays/lesbians lesboys/turigirls/sapphileans (omg it's me!!), slur reclaims, detransitioners (who are not transphobic), mspec lesbians, aro/ace and all variations thereupon, unlabeled, questioning, etc. i love all of you. i love the community that we share. we are family, whether or not some of us want to be, and exclusionism is Not Funky Fresh!!
- pro Palestine!! i don't always rb posts as much as i used to (i am scared of spreading misinformation) but i think i'll start doing that again! (don't forget your daily click guys)
- jewish people. i am specifically adding this one to say that because of the shitty Everything, i've seen a lot of concerning antisemitic stuff recently so i'm just, yk, putting this out there.
- disabilities/systems/cluster b disorders/AAC users. i am not any of these things (except maybe plural??) so if i say/do something out of line please tell me! but i love you guys and you're absolutely welcome here.
- proshippers (if this bothers you block and move on)
- furries. not personally one of y'all but i think you're neat and you make cool art :]
- literally, like, anyone, as long as you're not a dick
you are not welcome here:
- terfs, transphobes, exclusionists, anti-mspec, anti-lesboy, and people who think transandrophobia is "fake" or whatever. go away i don't like you (or at least be prepared to be blocked or yelled at)
- similarly to last, anyone who starts queer infighting or hates on less visible queers/strangers who don't "look" queer, the whole "bi girl's straight bf" nonsense (i don't care if you think someone is cishet. you have no way of knowing that. let's stop hating people for immutable characteristics and start having thoughtful criticisms of people's actions thanks)
- ZIONISTS. BYE BYE
- (but also antisemites because come on now let's notttt. judiasm ≠ zionism)
- ableists, fatphobia, racists/bigots, general dickheads
- antishippers (again, you can either leave now or expect to be argued with)
other general stuff:
- i accept anonymous asks! and also non anonymous ones. ask me shit idk
- i am autistic and VERY gullible. if i reblog a "bait" post, or something that's clearly fake or a joke with a genuine reaction, i'm probably not playing some 5d irony chess i'm probably just stupid. sorry y'all i'm trying :\
- i don't rb nsfw. not as, like, a rule, i just don't see the value in doing so lol. if i ever did i'd tag it and probably update this
UPDATE: thought i should clarify, i don't rb nsfw but i do rb nsfw humor, like dick jokes and stuff. hope there's no confusion
- i argue with people!! i enjoy arguing with people!! usually it's in replies and not reblogs but still. if you are allergic to stuff like that maybe don't follow me? i also rb "discourse" posts, mostly transmasc support stuff and callouts of transandrophobia, general solidarity stuff with the trans community or lgbt community as a whole, proship stuff, politics, current events, that kinda thing.
- this is, shockingly, supposed to be a fandom blog! (i got carried away; i always do.) current fandoms include: ace attorney (the one this blog was supposed to be about), doctor who (childhood hyperfixation come back to bite my ass), and splatoon (no excuse). also mha is basically my abusive boyfriend stockholm syndroming me to stay at this point but i'm trying to get better (not). you can find the records of my failing recovery at @alex-is-losing-sleep-over-krbk /hj (i also sometimes shamelessly rb this blog's posts over there lol)
and i guess since i'm mentioning fandoms, here are my fav ships: wrightworth, klapollo, franmaya, thoschei, pearlina, agent 24, & cuttletavio.
anyways, that's about it. love you all :]

Dude, thank you so much for these reblogs and hearts; I did not expected to have such a nice surprise. If I can ask- what is bothering you the most in Helluva/Hazbin (f. ex. writting, worldbuilding, characters) and what do you actually like about it (if there is anything)?
You're welcome
What's bother me about helluva boss?
Bothering me about the show
1. The main thing that bothering me about helluva boss is the portrayal of abuser that's obviously stella and i really appreciated you make that post regarding stella as an abuser. Some abuser like paimon and stella are really feel like villain cartoon instead of actual abuser you know i found ironic the fandom actually can give much more accurate depiction stella and paimon. When that job supposed to be on the writer not the fandom. I'm gonna said this disney character who's abuser like judge frollo, mother gothel, lady tremaine, odalia blight even though disney is famous for their villain who's over the top their villain who's abuser come far more accurate than stella. Crimson he's actually quite accurate but he lack the motivation, the screentime showing us how before he become abusive, less making him the reason he's abuse moxxie just because he hated him(i remember reading one of the post with the tag helluva boss critical vivziepop portrayal of abuser is just black and white if i remember correctly).
2. The other thing that bother me is inconsistent from world building, character, story, lore.
3. The character who are supposed to be horrible person are not being acknowledge as horrible person, to simplify it blitzo and stolas are gary sue both are never being punished including loona she's also a mary sue well more precisely jerk sue.
4. Some heavy topic or social commentary in this show are being handle poorly
5. The character design are just terrible
6. Helluva boss is pro rich show
7. Portrayal of demon just not that great like they can make the demon more neutral or something like ok we have evil demon then we have another demon who's more neutral
8. The normalizing of SA, fatphobia, rape, toxic and parasocial relationship, abusive relationship, infedility
9. Infact this show demonize people who have valid anger like octavia and stella toward stolas, barbie wire and verosika toward blitzo
10. The lack of development and depth on female character
11. The creator immaturity
12. Too much villain but don't even bother to developing the villain and making them interesting. Striker he's threatening but then become a joke
13. Colorism the character with darker skintone often potrayed in a very bad light. Verosika crew who's incubus most of them are brown and darker skintone as prosmicuous and abuser. Barbie wire human disguises who's darker skintone is a groomer
14. Ableism the r word and moxxie character that is shown to have autistic trait but of course stolas gonna be mention first instead of moxxie since their favorite uwu sad boi come first. Moxxie actually did show sign of autistic behavior but i only see a few people mention it. Blitzo ableist behavior is not being hold accountable
15. Antisemitism the greedy jewish people in the first episode of helluva boss
The thing i liked on this show
1. The voice acting
2. The animation
3. The fighting scene is great
4. Angst teen trope being done right
That's all i can think about what i liked on helluva boss

Hi, this is the poll blog for @deerboybreeder ! It's also where I'm putting some of the stuff I'm too afraid to put on main to prevent getting nuked.
You can call me Deer, breeder, cunt, whore, womb, whatever you want really! I'm ftm but fine with being misgendered so you can get off, and I'm 27 years old.
DISCLAIMER: Anything you find particularly disturbing, you can assume is fantasy. I'm very pro risk-aware consensual kink, so some content may be risky but I am an adult who knows my limits. I also support harm reduction when it comes to $H and 3D's, and I don't want you interacting if you're a bigot outside of kink. DO NOT FUCKING INTERACT IF YOURE A MINOR AND HAVE YOUR AGE LISTED ON YOUR BLOG SOMEWHERE OR I WILL BLOCK YOU!
PLEASE SEND POLL IDEAS, RAPE THREATS, AND INSULTS!
Dark kinks will be present on this blog, including but not limited to 3D related topics, s3lf h@rm, s\/ic1d3, rape and more. The main kinks will be hunger play, rape, breeding and dehumanization related, with a sprinkle of gender play here and there.
Do not send me: Poll ideas about race play, incest/fauxcest, n@zi shit even as a kink, transphobia directed at anyone but me, fatphobia at anyone but me, piss/scat related questions, or requests for photos (I'm owned and that's a boundary).
Do send me: Graphic rape threats, mutilation fantasies, degrading porn or hypnosis files/videos, demands for trauma stories to get off to, poll ideas, fantasies about hurting me in general, insults, transphobia directed at me only, invasive questions especially about my system, and general hateful messages!
My top kinks are obviously breeding and pregnancy, noncon, intox (especially forced intox!), stalking/kidnapping, hunger play, lactation, breath play, gender play/detrans (less so misgendering directly? A focus on feminizing the body and using feminine terms aside from woman or calling me she/her, go for it/its if you want to misgender me), hypnosis, brainwashing, manipulation, gaslighting, cameras, blackmail, dumbification, degradation, and forced masc! I contain multitudes lol (literally, I have DID!)
I'm also exploring ageplay without the fauxcest (ie a Dom would be a family friend or stranger as a role instead of the usual daddy/mommy title), and religious kink in a really weird way that corresponds with my current system of beliefs- I have Christianity based religious trauma, which you're allowed and encouraged to exploit! I've considered corruption kink, but so far so much of it seems like just making someone do what I already enjoy lol, but if I'm wrong please teach me!
Anything that isn't the polls will be tagged "not polls", and the polls will be tagged "just the polls" for ease of access! Feel free to send me Poll ideas because I love love love love being manipulated by strangers on the internet!
DO NOT ASK ME FOR PHOTOS I DONT SEND NUDES

Guys I infiltrated a proshipping Discord server to laugh at 14 year olds with silly ships, I even learnt proshipping vocabulary for it, but instead I found.
*inhales*
Racism, anitsemitism, pedophilia, pro legalization of paraphilia stuff, fatphobia, pro anorexia stuff, misandry, interestingly no misogyny???, rape culture GALORE, doomerpilled guys, SO MUCH PARAPHILIA ENDORSEMENT, IT'S NOT FUCKING FUNNY.
I WANT TO GO HOME.
Proshipping hardly concerns me, what concerns me are the people who herd around it. This isn't just shipping. These are breeding grounds for serious crimes.
I thought this would be fun and silly but I ended up in hell. I can't believe none of what's going on is satire
Tumblr media
This is the server in question, by the way. I know it's tagged the way it is, but I didn't think this was a Dead Dove Do Not Eat kind of situation.
Bye I'm gonna go cry in a corner
